Gold Baton

The International School of Orchestral and Band Conducting "Maestro Navarro Lara" present this International Wind Band Contest open to all the International Wind Bands wishing to participate.This International Contest will be celebrated by Youtube. The Wind Bands will have to present a video with a good quality, that will have to publish in Youtube. This video will be evaluated by an international Jury of teachers and students of the International School of Orchestral and Band Conducting "Maestro Navarro Lara".The contest have three categories: A (Wind Bands with more than 80 musicians), B (Wind Bands betwen 40 and 80 musicians) and C (Wind Bands with less than 40 musicians).The period to register begins on January 1st and ends of December 17 th of 2010.

Gold Baton

Each Wind Band will have to present one or several free-choice pieces or movements, no mandatory pieces. The length of the free-choice pieces or movements must be less than 20 minutes. Each Wind Band will have to make and publish in Youtube a video playing these pieces or movements with a good quality.The International Jury will value the musical quality, the interpretative quality and the conductor Conducting Technique.

A special Prize "Gold Baton" to the best Wind Band Conductor.
